Breitbart, Trumpbart Or Pravda?

Source of this graphic is unknown
The jury is still out on the alleged assault of Breitbart politics reporter Michelle Fields by Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.  I have viewed all the available videos—the ones presented in slow-motion, real-time, heavily edited, unedited—and the only solid conclusion one can arrive at is “something” happened the night of Trump’s victory rally in Jupiter, FL.

I lack the sophisticated equipment needed to forensically analyze the available recordings of the event and I discount out-of-hand whatever I’ve read at sites like National Review that have condemned Fields as an attention-grabbing “citizen journalist.”

So, what am I to believe…the videos or my lying eyes?

With that said there are stories (I used that term deliberately) out there that Fields is a hoaxer.  She’s been linked to an alleged groping by Lt. Col. Allen West and of assault by the NYPD while covering the “Day of Action” during the abominable Occupy Wall Street movement.

Her allegation against West is sketchy.  Her interview with C-SPAN’s Brian Lamb is astonishing.  She portrays the OWS activists as kind and caring.  OWS was nothing if not violent and riven with extremist affiliations such as George Soros.  “Safety tents” were forced to be set up in New York City after a rash of sexual assaults and a growing fear of more sexual predators joining the protests.

I wrote a rather passionate article on March 4, 2012 following the passing of Andrew Breitbart.  “Andrew lived boldly so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love,” noted a statement released by the family.

The Breitbart site continued his #WAR with his widow’s blessing.  From then until now, the site has been a reference point for so many readers and bloggers, but a schism ever-widening, has opened up in the dextrosphere.

One website on the Left described the current Breitbart site as a “daily cyber-fellator” of Donald Trump.  Crude, but quite true and the avalanche of criticism grows by the hour with the resignations of Fields, Breitbart Editor-at-Large Ben Shapiro and four others.

Andrew Breitbart demanded the truth.  His truth was our truth.  The shameful shilling for Donald Trump must end.  Websites purporting to “report” the news should report it and spare us the editorializing.  If the data they collect in uncovering the truth is unimpeachable then the electorate can make their own decisions without being nudged by lapdogs.

I am joining the growing chorus calling for Breitbart to remove Andrew’s name from the site.
Here is Andrew’s illuminating take on Donald Trump from 2011:
